Job Summary: The position is under the direct supervision of the Community Prevention Coordinator. The focus of this position is to present/provide evidenced based programing (EBP’s) in classrooms, groups and/or individual sessions with students/youth and other persons across the lifespan who are at risk for substance abuse concerns. Delivery of EBP’s can be in school-based settings, community-based agencies, and other locations throughout Oswego County. The Community Prevention Counselor provides Evidence Based Programs.The Counselor meets with school/agency staff to implement EBP’s in classrooms, community agencies and other Oswego County locations to garner referrals and assess persons for individual or group work. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Recovery Coordinator and Supervisor to provide comprehensive support to families and loved ones affected by substance use disorders or mental health challenges. In addition to offering guidance and assistance to families, this dual-role position involves providing direct supervision to a team of Peer Advocates and Family Mentors. As the Family Recovery Coordinator and Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in helping families navigate the complexities of addiction and mental health issues while ensuring the peer support services provided to our clients are of the highest quality. Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, required. QHP, Licensed Professional, CASAC-AC or CASAC-MC, Preferred. Experience in a clinical or mental health setting, with a focus on peer support and recovery programs. Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and coordinating teams.
