MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Under general direction, the Counselor Assistant will serve as a member of the facility’s multidisciplinary treatment team. The Counselor Assistant will provide administrative as well as case management and clinical support to the Primary Substance Abuse Counselors within the outpatient and/or opioid treatment programs. He/she will assist with completing sample swab, screenings, orientation, intake, psycho-education, referrals, reporting and recordkeeping, co-facilitate groups, and intervene in basic crisis response. Position: Rehabilitation Aide and Office Assistant Duties: Prepares patients, work area and equipment for treatment. Assists in patient treatment under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the Rehabilitation Department inventory and clinical areas. Responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Rehab Department, including patient registration, procuring pre-authorization for insurance, statistical data collection for Quality Review and Department functions.
